MySpellings is a spelling-practice app from EpicBlu. We respect your privacy. This policy explains how information is handled in the app, including spelling lists, results and optional voice recordings.
1. Information We Collect
MySpellings does not require an account. We do not collect or receive your spelling lists, practice answers, results or recordings through an EpicBlu server. The app does not include advertising, tracking technology or third-party analytics.
If you contact us for support, we receive the information you choose to send so that we can respond. Please avoid including unnecessary personal information, especially information about a child.
2. Data Storage and Microphone Access
Spelling lists, results and optional voice recordings are stored locally on the device where you create them. They are not automatically synchronised between devices by MySpellings.
Microphone permission is requested only when you choose to record a word. Recordings are saved locally and played back during practice. You can use installed system voices without microphone access, and you can revoke microphone permission in your device settings.
App data remains in local storage until it is removed. Updates may retain older data or recording files for recovery, so deleting a list is not a secure erase of historical results or recovery copies. Device, cloud and computer backups, if enabled, are managed separately by your operating system or backup service. Removing the Mac app may leave its local data container behind.
3. Sharing and Third-Party Services
MySpellings does not automatically share your spelling activity or recordings. If you choose to share words or results, your device’s sharing controls send the selected text to the person or service you choose. Their handling of that information is governed by their own privacy practices.
Apple may process App Store downloads or purchases, optional system voice downloads, diagnostics and backups under its own terms and privacy policy. This policy describes MySpellings and does not replace the policies of those platform services.
4. Children’s Privacy
MySpellings is designed for spelling practice with parents and teachers. The app has no public profiles, public posting system or chat. We do not receive children’s spelling lists, results or voice recordings from the app. Parents and carers should supervise recording and sharing, and avoid including a child’s personal details in list names or support requests.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
If the app’s data practices change, we will update this policy and its effective date. The latest version will remain available on this page.
